When I saw this house near a major retail shop, I knew I had to check it out. When I saw what was left of this house, I knew I had to shoot there. When Emersyn volunteered for the shoot, I knew it would be awesome.

There wasn’t much left of the place. Fire had removed all traces of occupancy, and also some of the floor. But we set up and got started.

There’s something about dereliction that works so well contrasted with beauty. The pain and ruin completely transformed by vitality, the abrasion countered by soft life.

We didn’t stay long, but we got so much done.
