On the day of the shoot it had been raining, and the sky was overcast. We had our doubts about the shoot, but we packed up our gear and headed down to Australia’s beautiful Gold Coast rainforests. We’re very glad we did.

It didn’t look like much to start, the sky was pale and the view washed out, but Emersyn was radiant.

Deeper in the forest things started to look better. A lot better. Whether it was in front of a suspended boulder or just leaning on a fallen tree, Emersyn could do no wrong.

We hiked first one way, a long way down the track, past the waterfalls and the leeches and the hollow trees, and then back again, down every winding path.

Everything was beautiful on this trail, and Emersyn made it more beautiful still.

If you ever get a chance to visit the Gold Coast hinterland I recommend you do. But watch out for the leeches.
